Disappointing Score

Only bogies today. With my mind on the move, my game is off. It was 78º at tee time and windy.

Nice Weather Up Until the Twelfth Hole

I made 4 pars: Hole #2, #5, #9, and #10.

The temperature was a pleasant 73º and the wind cooperated until 9:30; then it picked up to 20 mph. Tom and I lost.

Snowbirds and Birdies

Did you watch Tiger's comeback? I did. He birdied the 18th hole to win the tournament. He's one solid player.

Today, the price dropped from $37 to $25. I love it when the snowbirds fly home!

However, I do like birdies, and I made one today on the ninth hole!

At tee time, the temperature was 75º with a 15 mph wind. It was a beautiful day for golfing.

Speedy Gonzalez

When my buddies and I play golf, we move fast. If people behind us ever THINK that they're going to catch up, we pick up our pace. You want speedy players like us ahead on the course, because we've never made anyone wait.

Temperature at tee off was 69º, but by 10:00, it was 77º. The wind was a factor today at 15-20mph.

I only made two pars on Holes #2 and #5. Here's a shot of #2 with the color enhanced. I really don't like that enhancer. I'm not going to do that again.

Here's Hole #5 from the tee. The water hazard can be seen on the left. The flag is ahead, slightly to the right.

An Uncomfortable Day to Play

Although we had beautiful, bright, sunny, blue skies, the temperature at tee off was a chilly 52º. That, along with the 15-20 mph winds made for a miserable golfing day. I could not take off my jacket, and my game suffered for it.

However, I did make three pars: Hole #4, Hole #11, and Hole #15.

Here I am on the 18th Hole, happy because soon I will get out of this cold.

Putting from the Green

The day was windy with 15 mph breezes coming out of the east and a temperature of 72º. I made three putts from off the green--two were bogies and one was a par.

I scored 5 pars: #6, #9, #11, #12, and #15. Here's a picture of me putting on the 6th Hole.

Another Fabulous Day

Here's a shot of Hole #4. I've been playing this course for four years, and today is the first time I've made a par.

It's 380 yards from the white, and the second shot is over water. I've lost plenty of balls in this water hazard.

I had 4 pars: Hole #4, #6, #9, and #11. The temperature was 75º with winds of 20mph.

Nelson is my partner; Tom and Doug are partners. The two teams tied, and we had a play-off: each golfer had one shot, and whoever was the closest to the hole would win for his team. Nelson won it! Go, Nelson!

Different Beginning

Today the management had us start on the Tenth Tee instead of the First Tee to see if the flow would go more quickly. For us, it was smooth, but I don't know what the results for the management were.

Two pars on Hole #9 and Hole #12. Delightful day with 75º and a good bit of wind. I blew the Eighth Hole; I hit my ball into the water, got a penalty, and made a horrible 7 on that hole.

Change of Plans

With the weatherman warning that a cold front is coming tomorrow, we changed our plans to play golf today. Today's temperature was 65º at tee off and is still 67º. Not much wind, however. I made 3 pars on #4, #9, and #11.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a record low of 42º. I sure wouldn't want to play then!

'Cause I'm Dedicated, That's Why!

Today's tee-off temperature was 38º, and it was windy--20 mph. Why, you might ask would any sane person play golf with conditions like these? My title is my answer. (Thanks for calling me sane.)

Neither nor cold, nor wind, nor gloom of night, will stay this golfer from his course!

I had 3 skins and 1 par on the 11th hole.

Cold Day

Hole #12

Hole #17

Today was cold; the temperature was 54º for tee off, and it's only 58º now at 10:30! We have wind too--10-15 mph. A cold front has moved in, and the weatherman says it'll stay for most of the week. Brrrr.

I had two pars today on hole #12 and #17.

The Run Is Over

Here's a picture of the clubhouse. We started off with a temperature of 64 degree and a wind of 10 mph. It's 77 degrees now, and the wind has died off.

Goodbye Crystal ball. I lost it on Hole #5. Doug gave me two more; I lost one of those on the same hole!

Three pars on Holes #8, #9, and #12.

Rain at First, Then Blue Skies

It began raining shortly after we arrived, and so we stayed in the club house. Eventually, the rain stopped, we teed off, and enjoyed the game. The skies were blue with scattered clouds--quite windy, but not a drop of rain fell on us! At 75 degrees, it was a good day for golf.

This is a shot of the 13th hole, par 5. I made par on this hole today.
