Skin Game

I took 4 out of 18 skins. Tom took 5, and Doug took 9.



I made 4 pars today. This is one of the holes that I made par. The others were #9, #11, and #12. Temperature was 64 degrees with no wind. Nice golfing day.

The Run Is Over

Here's a picture of the clubhouse. We started off with a temperature of 64 degree and a wind of 10 mph. It's 77 degrees now, and the wind has died off.


Goodbye Crystal ball. I lost it on Hole #5. Doug gave me two more; I lost one of those on the same hole!

Still Another!

Today was another great day. The skies were a brilliant blue; temperature was a steady 75 degrees with very little wind.

I made another birdie! That's three straight weeks that I've shot a birdie! This one was on the 11th hole.



I also made pars on 4 holes: #8, #10, #12, and #13.

I made another Birdie today from hole #2 after. Here's a shot of the fairway.



I used a Volvik Crystal Golf Ball the entire game. I tell you, I don't want to lose that ball! I took this picture after I got home.

The temperature was 77 at tee off time (6:45) and it was a bit windy.

A Birdie!

I had a GREAT day of golf today. There wasn't much wind, but it was cold, even though it was sunny. The reason I said that it was a great day was even with the temperature at 52 degrees, I made a fifteen-foot-from-off-the-green birdie! Here's the hole.



The following hole, I made a par! I also made par on the 6th and 12th holes to make a total of 3 pars. That's pretty amazing for me!

Today's Favorite Hole

Today began with fog, but it soon lifted and we had beautiful blue skies--another perfect day for golf.

Cold One Today!

It was a very cold day today--50 degrees! Here I am teeing off on hole #1 with my driver. I hate to have to wear a jacket because it's bothers my arms. Then my swing suffers.

Rain at First, Then Blue Skies

It began raining shortly after we arrived, and so we stayed in the club house. Eventually, the rain stopped, we teed off, and enjoyed the game. The skies were blue with scattered clouds--quite windy, but not a drop of rain fell on us! At 75 degrees, it was a good day for golf.

Golf Shoes

The shoes I use to play golf are Oakley Golf Shoes with plastic cleats. I've had them for a year now, and they're holding up well. They're very comfortable, and even though they cost a bit, they're worth every penny.



Today was a perfect day for golf with the temperature of 70, and blue skies all the way.

Cold Day on the Course

It was 52 degrees today when my golfing buds Tom, Nelson, Doug, and I began golfing. Here's a shot of Doug and me getting ready to tee off on the first hole. Notice my University of Miami hat and my Miami Heat jacket. Today is Miami Heat's opening game for the season.

Three in a Row!

I no longer need to buy golf balls. I have a friend whose house backs up to Pembroke Lakes Golf Club on the 18th hole. She and her husband, collect golf balls and give me all I need. Am I lucky or what?

On the sixth hole today, I made a thirty-six foot putt for a par 5.

Beaten By A Twosome!

When we first arrived, it was too dark to see the ball. A twosome--man and wife--wanted to try it, so we let them go ahead.

I thought you might be interested at seeing the clubhouse. The door is in the middle of the building behind that green bush.



The entrance to the Pro Shop is this way, but I've never made any purchases there.

My Golfing Buddies

Here's Nelson, the newest member. His score: 75 from the white.


I've been playing golf with Tom for 20 years. He is 81 years old and his score was an amazing 96 from the white.


Doug began playing with us seven years ago. His score was 91 from the white.


My score today was 102 from the white. I had three pars.

Watching the Sun Come Up

We tee off at 6:50 AM and the beginning looks like this.



First hole, par 4 and the sun begins to rise.

Working on Golf Swing

I concentrated on my swing, bringing my club back to my shoulder, and it made a difference.
